About us

What the heck does BBPB mean?! We’re not entirely sure either, over the years, the name has taken on multiple meanings.

BBPB is a three-piece punk band from Klagifornia, formed in 2019 from the lifeless remains of another band. Dick jokes, beer, and music have always been what unites them. So it was no coincidence that their debut EP, released in 2019 and presented with a phenomenally colorful release show, was titled “That’s How You Do A Double-Handjob”.

Since 2019, the band has also been playing outrageously colorful live shows. Confetti, rainbows, and LEDs have always been part of the repertoire. All of this just to cover up the fact that they’ve been working on recordings for their second CD since 2022 and kept postponing it again and again.

But now the time has finally come: once again on October 31st, their first LP titled “24/7 SM” will be released — presented with an even more colorful show than ever before.

We encourage and support diversity, neurodivergence, human rights, and "being different" as a whole! We believe that all humans deserve the same rights and that it is possible to get together to make the world a better place!

Sadly, fascism and capitalism are in our way and harming our beliefs, so we do our part to make a change. At our shows, we always give away our merch for a voluntary donation and don't ask anything to play a gig, if it is possible for us.
In this spirit, we share all of our content in an open license and decided on CC BY-SA 4.0 for our music, pictures and videos. This allows everyone to use our music, even commercially, with only 2 constraints: attribution and share-alike!
Meaning, as long as you attribute our original work and release it under the same license, you can do whatever the heck you want with it! So feel free to download our music and have fun with it!

Besides our political messages, we also strongly believe in open licenses and use open-source software to create our music, artwork, and videos. For the geeks out there: We use Ardour as our main DAW since our 2nd album and primarily rely on awesome open-source LV2 plugins by X42, LSP, Dragonfly Reverb, CalfStudio and more! For our videos, Kdenlive is our go-to tool, and for artwork, we use GIMP and Inkscape within the band, with some exceptions for external productions.
